Chuck is a professional engineer with experience in hydraulics, river mechanics, sediment transport, and hydrology. His professional experience includes numerical modeling in one and two dimensions for various applications (e.g., flood hazard, flood control, environmental design and regulatory compliance, irrigation and drainage, dam break, and sediment transport applications); design of river restoration features and hydraulic structures; construction oversight; permitting; and teaching. He has 4 peer-reviewed publications and dozens of conference publications. Chuck has worked on projects for a variety of federal (e.g., US Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Emergency Management Agency, US Bureau of Reclamation), state, and local agencies as a prime consultant as well as many private clients.
