Emily Jones
Ecologist
Emily is an aquatic biologist with experience in streams and wetlands, beginning her career in 2016 as a wetland technician. Her passion for aquatic systems led her to pursue a B.S. in Wildlife Biology and currently, she is completing her M.S. thesis on “Emerging Aquatic Insects from a Restored Headwater System in Eastern Kentucky”.
Emily’s fieldwork expertise spans stream and wetland macroinvertebrate sampling, vegetation monitoring, acoustic surveys, herpetological surveys, and bird banding. Her responsibilities at BCH include collecting and preparing environmental and biological field data, conducting macroinvertebrate sampling and identification, and performing detailed data analysis.
